I bought this, and several others, last year on the advice of several of my friends to try thumb releases. I just can't get accustomed to them after 50 years of using index releases. Anyway, I don't know much about these. However, what I do know is that this is a Stan Perfex Thumb Release. I believe that L you see inscribed means it is a size large.
