Stan Perfex Short Neck D-Loop Clip Fix?

Hey all,

I just picked up a Stan Perfex Short Neck Thumb release, and I didn't realize it doesn't have a d-loop clip so you can hang it on the d-loop and let go. I shot the long neck Perfex and figured it was the same, but just with a shorter neck...hence the "short neck" nomenclature. Is there a way to fix the short neck and put a d-loop clip on it?

Can I just use the same clip that comes with a long neck Perfex? I reached out to Stan to see what they say, but while I wait for a response I thought I would reach out to the community and see what you all think?

If you have both a long neck and short neck perfex can you compare the hooks? I only have the short neck now. I sold my long neck Perfex a long time ago....

So I stumbled on this picture....anyone care to guess how they accomplished it? Is there a d-loop clip, or is just perfectly lined up with the wood behind it? When I magnify the picture, I can't tell...
