I am in the desert and the dry ground and plants make be feel like my foot steps are pretty loud. Is anyone using stalkisins or other "quite footwear" for final approach on a stalk? Are their better alternatives? Or is it just another gimmick?
I have and use both stalkasins and skinners knockoffs from amazon. I prefer the skinners as I think they are slightly quieter, and the rubber bottom is good for grip or if there is any moisture on the ground. I use the stalkasins mostly around home as we have a ton of cheatgrass, and foxtail type stickers that get stuck in the skinners upper fabric.
