What are people using for stakes in snow?

Deadman anchors work really well. A quick Google search will come up with some good ideas. One that surprised me was taking an empty ziplock bag, reinforcing it with duct tape and filling it 2/3 full of snow. Wrapping your cord around the middle, burying it. The French alpine institute did a test and it took something like 400kg of force to pull that anchor.

What size bag (guessing 1 galllon?), and I wonder how deep they buried them to get that kind of resistance? Also, I would imagine that the density (wet vs. cold powder), of the snow would be a big factor.

From what I read on BPL it's a one gallon plastic bag with a duct tape wrap to reinforce the bagWhat size bag (guessing 1 galllon?), and I wonder how deep they buried them to get that kind of resistance?
