I run my hunting .22 with a 35 yard zero. With the 35 yard zero you're an inch high at 10 yards, half an inch high at 15, and only 0.1 inches high at 20. It then levels out fairly well and you are only a quarter inch low by the time you get out to 45 yards and a half inch at 50. After that you're about an inch low at 55 and 1.5 low at 60. In short, with a 30 yard zero, you should be within an inch of zero from 10-55 yards and within a half inch from 15-50 yards, which is more than an ample point and pop for most squirrel situations.

You are indeed correct. Late night writing results in mistypes.

I have used 40 yards for 40 years plus. Just do your homework on the trajectory, memorize the holdoffs or create a cheat sheet and tape it to your stock.

40 yds sight in for Eley SVHP. My squirrel rig is a Sako Quad Hunter chopped to 18". I also have a 16" Kidd ULW Sporter. I am getting a 1,373 fps average with Velocitors. ​

"22lr, 16" barrel with suppressor. CCI 40 grain Velocitor is 1328 fps. Still at 1080 fps at 80 yards."
