I just ordered a Razor 65 and I'm curious about the neoprene covers or butler caps. I saw butler makes a size up to 65.4 I believe, anyone ever tried using their covers for a spotting scope? Seems to me crap getting on the lenses will drive me crazy. I know the included bag would work, but I'd imagine there are better ways to go about it. I have no doubt the rubber caps that come with it hardly stay on, just like their included bino caps.

Thanks guys

The rubber caps on my old style razor stay on so tight some times it is a pain in the ass to get them off. Dont know how the new ones are though. I need to order the neoprene one a buddy has it and works nice. If butler creeks are as good as the rifles covers you will use it for about 2 days and they will break off.

I have the vortex neoprene cover for my razor 16-48x65. It was a snug fit getting it on but now that its on it does a good job protecting the lenses as well as the outer portion from scratches etc which is nice when stuffing it in a pack. Pretty much just pull it out and flip the lense cover portions off and good to go pretty quick in out of pack. Havent messed around with any other covers so I can't comment on them as a comparison.

ive read a lot of people saying they have trouble with them breaking but i havent had issues myself. im a minority on that for sure though.

I would get the neoprene snug fit scope cover. It worked great on my razor and was easy to use while not having to worry about losing caps and covers.
