Spotting scope…. Cover or no?

Outdoor Vision makes a nice stay-on cover but only for Swarovski spotting scopes.

My wife has one on her Swaro and it works well for her.

I just purchased a used ATS 80mm and was going through this debate. I've settled on either carrying it in a dedicated pocket or a case just for inside the pack. Most SOCs end up catching more wind during glassing sessions. Also saves some money.
