I’m right handed but a southpaw shorter. Been shooting for about a year, Hoyt PowerMax. Been shooting a TrueFire Smoke. I have about a 60yd Max effective range. Can group arrows pretty consistent at 30 yds. I bought a WiseGuy because I wanted a no-look hook on my release. When using the Spot Hogg, I am consistently 2-3” to the right of my Smoke groups.

Any input on what might be causing the consistent deviation? When I go back to the Smoke, I got back to center.

Any insight is appreciated.

They are different releases and result in different POI's. Pick one, sight into it and use it.

Yep, can't expect same results from a double jaw release to a hook style release. Different anchor points and the string comes off each differently

I've found that when i sight in with my single caliper release, my POI is 3-4" right/left with a dual caliper, thumb, or hook (can't remember which direction at the moment). Currently experimenting with a Tru Fire Chicken Wing with the 2 finger attachment. Haven't taken it long yet, but hits same POI as my single caliper at 20.

Agree that each release is different whether on length, buckle, trigger tension, etc. So find the one you like, and buy 2.

Different releases do that a lot. I’m actually surprised when different ones hit the same.

I found that the exact same release with a different thumb peg was ~2" inches off recently! Those subtle changes can do more than you night expect!
