Has anyone noticed a halo around their green pins? It distracts my shots by overwhelming the target. I have a hard time focusing on it. Has anyone put tape on their wrap to dull it down to alleviate this?

I've used the rubber wrist bands around my sight housing to dim them down. I can move it a bit to let more light in if need be.

Very common with fiber optic pins. I replace my fiber optics and I won't melt the end at all leaving it with a clean end. This will help any haloing you get. It can still happen, just not as bad or as frequent

Can u do that with SH sights? About the time it reeled back in I'd come unglued like Clark Grizwold.

I only shoot spot Hogg sights. Put a little dab of glue on the back of the sight where the optic goes through the hole along the back of the sight. Or melt a much smaller end on the fiber.

I use Black Gold sights but I can totally relate to the Halo effect Franklin. Black Gold have the photochromatic lense that dims them down in bright sunlight and absorbs more light in low sunlight. BUT get indoors with artificial lighting and the lense doesn't work. I have had to put tape on the cover of the wrap to get rid of it. I would assume with the Spot Hoggs what OR mentioned would be pretty easy.

I use black electrical tape on my wrap. I fold one end over so I can remove it in a hurry if I need to when hunting. It really reduces the halo effect. I even run electrical tape on the inside of the.wrap on the bottom side.
