I just bought a prime centergy hybrid and it needs a sight. I've looked at the spot hogg offerings and am most interested in the fast eddie or fast eddie xl. I just wanted to get your guys opinion on if there are any other sights I should be taking into consideration.

I had a spot Hogg Hogg father and a HHA optimizer 5510 dovetail. My experience shooting them both is that the HHA can take just as much of a beating as the spot Hogg. I had problems with the Hogg bolts loosening regularly, it just seemed like after a long shooting week I would hear something rattle. I could have use loctite sure. The HHA is almost completely adjustable and lockable by hand, and is significantly easier to adjust and tune. The Hogg outdoes the HHA in range of elevation adjustment but in reality I didn't need the extra adjustment and I was still reaching over 100 yards. With all that, I had the Gen of Hogg was the most recent before the new one. The Hogg also has the benefits of double pins. Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately it looks like HHA only sells a 3 pin slider and I'm looking for a 5 pin slider.

Montana black gold ascent would be the other to look at in a multipin slider. I like the tape location on the MBG better. I can instantly see if I didn't reset the slider.

I have the fast eddie xl 5 pin on my bow right now. It is about as bomb proof as they come. I don't think you can go wrong with what they make. But it is pretty heavy as it is all machined aluminum. The new MBG with the composite dovetail caught my eye. But they are damn proud of it $$. I had S and S archery build me a custom fast eddie XL with their recommended size and color pins. So look into them. They are also a Rokslide sponsor and can get you a discount for being a member. If you are in the market for the XL PM me and I might be interested in moving mine.

I just put a Fast Eddie XL on my Centergy Hybrid and dialed it in yesterday. Good clearance out to 100, and I'm shooting 258 fps (heavy ass arrows). That said, you might need a side/back stab to balance it out.

If I end up going with a spot hogg I'll have to check these guys out. Thanks for the info.

After talking to several different people not running any stabilizer on their prime, I'd like to try and get away without one. Maybe I can find a shop thatll let me bolt a sight up just to see how it ends up balancing out.

I shoot a Prime Centergy and have a Fast Eddie single pin on it. It is a great sight. My only complaint is the wheel is not a smooth as some other single pins I’ve tried. However since it is not as smooth, I don’t even have to lock it down when I dial it in.

I agree with these guys in that you should look into Black Gold sights and HHA sights as well. I am currently looking to switch to a Black Gold 3 pin slider.

I'm getting a CBE Engage single pin installed right now. I can let you know how it works later if your interested. Just switched from a MTB Assault Verdict 3 pin. Got sick of not being able to micro adjust the pins, and their new model is almost 500 dollars. I'm not sure if I made a huge mistake going with the single pin or not.

Have you looked at Option Archery
I think they have a pretty cool sight as well, you can switch from single to multi instantly
