Has anyone tried one of these to sharpen their fixed BH? I'm looking at getting one of these then I'll follow up with a strop

Looks fine until i look at the price... Absolutely rediculous! Im not one to bash gear or things but thats crazy and i use SH gear.. Ill stick with my bastard file and stones which cost me a 1/4 the cost of that contraption.

I've played with it a bit. We have a couple of them at our shop that they gave to us. Its a great tool and does a great job but the cost is way up there. Like any other Spot Hogg product its built extremely well and will last a lifetime.

When these were first shown at the ATA, I thought the price was a mistake. I can buy replacement blades for a lifetime for that price.

I'd consider it with a non replaceable blade head. Otherwise not worth the money or hassle.
