Looking at buying one of these two sights, I like the Spot Hogg for the virticle wire and the wrap but im worried I will need a huge peep. (i use a 3/16s) Also not sure if I could get the bar far enough out to use the 3/16s peep if I could get my 80 yard pin. Bow is a Xpedition Xcentric set at 29.5in draw. What do u guys think??

The spot hogg 7 pin has a 2 inch guard and didnt fit well in my 3/16" peep at all. You could still see all 7 pins but I had to cheat the peep a little to clearly see the bottom pin/level. If you get the dovetail mount and stick it way out there it might be better. I never tried it before I went to another sight with a 1 3/4" guard.

It will have the extention bar. (Spot Hogg Hog IT) Just not sure if it being all the way out I would still get an 80 yard pin.

Choose the Spot Hogg. Much better sight for the money.

Unless you are shooting an extremely heavy arrow out of that bow at low poundage you should have zero issues getting an 80 yard pin sighted in. This is of course if you have a normal peep height between 5.5-6". Also the 3/16th should work just fine if you have the sight extended. I use the same size peep with my Tommy Hogg with a large guard 5 pin head and it centers that housing just fine. 1/4" had just a bit to much daylight for good consistency.

OR Archer, im shooting black eagle rampage shafts 428grains 29.5in draw 65lbs and im guessing right around 315fps. This bow is SMOKING fast.

Spott Hogg without question. Far better quality. What now are we talking about here? That is a screamer!

Now what pin size and color??
Im thinking 20-40 .19s green and 50 either .19 or .10 Red and 60-80 Green

I use a SH Hunter 7-pin with 3/16" peep without any issues, and shoot a 532gr arrow. At 315fps your top pins are going to be too close together. I'm shooting 286fps and pin gaps are great with plenty of space between them all. I like a speed that allows me to get all 7 pins in the guard as well as have enough room between them. I always set the middle pin (50) right in the middle of the pin guard to start, and then set the rest from there. I'm shooting all .019's. I certainly don't need anything smaller than that for hunting. I've even gone away from all .010's on my 3D sight.

Its on order, I went with 20-40 .19s All green, 50 yard pin is .10 Yellow, 60-80 .10 All Green.
5milesback, if my pins are too close I might start at 30 and go out to 90.
