I like my Gen 1 more than my brother's gen 2. Better optical clarity and the focus knob(s) are much easier to use. Hella deal for a decent spotter. I paid almost $200 more for mine last summer. Not a premium spotter but I have had no issues with mine. It stays set up year round to watch birds in the back yard too!
