Spine and shaft question/recommendations

I shoot trad bows 99% of the time, but I need some compound advice. My RX4 Ultra is currently broadhead tuned at 32" draw, ~65lbs.

I'm shooting Axis 5mm 260's cut to 31" with aluminum HIT inserts and 125 gr heads. 4 fletch, and lighted nocks. Only problem is I'm down to 4 arrows. I'm thinking about switching arrows, and trying to lighten up the shafts a bit. But spine charts seem to think I'm right between 300 and 250.

Given that my current setup shoots great, should I just roll with 250's? Was thinking about going with the black eagle Rampage shafts. Maybe cutting a little shorter. Open to other .204 suggestions.

I think you have plenty of speed with your DL so there is no need to drop the weight but trying new stuff is fun.

A 300 with a 100gr head cut to 30.5 looks like it would work fine.

Here are some 250-300 spine .204 shaft options that are a little lighter than an Axis. FWIW qSpine is telling me "optimal" spine is around 280 at your specs. I think anything between 250 and 300 would work fine.

At your DL, dropping a bit of arrow weight won’t buy you too much. Lighter shaft GPI often results in less durability, not a good give to get in your situation IMO.

You would be pleased with some RIP TKO's. I haven't totally abused them, but in 3+ years I haven't had any durability issues at all. I have some with 75gr brass HIT's and some with 16gr aluminum HIT's, both with 125's. Mine are all cut to 30", and are 250's. I found Rampages to be kind of brittle.

Pick something in a 200-250 spine that is going to put you at the weight you want to be at.

You're the guy I was hoping to hear from! Long draw archers unite, lol. Thanks for the feedback on the Rampages.

Gold Tip Airstrikes would be a good option for a lighter build. I’d personally use a different nock and insert with them than the standard components. Not a fan of the GT components they come with. You would save 2gpi over the Axis and still have a durable arrow.

250 Rip, can’t beat the GPI. You can use your same hidden inserts if you want. Victory aluminum components are junk.

Black eagle x impact or victory rip xv would both be good options to lighten up in the 250 spine range.
