That is amazing. I have actually looked for those brand new. I get heartburn at $2300 for a used gun, I love the 18in length. It’s perfect.
Is there anything better? LOL
Keep a eye on it, you will be surprised what it probably goes for. I would look for a Fieldcraft or Capra personally. Also it seems Tikka is bringing a 6mm creedmore 20” threaded 5/8x24” to the market. There is several post in regards to the Tikka. That is amazing. I have actually looked for those brand new. I have one in 6.5 CM in a Stocky's sporter with MDT bottom metal and AICS mag with SWFA ultralight scope on Talley one piece aluminum rings. I dial it despite capped turrets. The thing is pretty accurate for it's weight. Just shot a 2 inch group at 328 yards.Savage LW Storm is advertised at 5lb 8oz. I have one in 7mm-08 w a Swarovski Z3 2.5-10. About 6lb 4oz scoped.
Those are great guns. Trying to stay under $2000I recently picked up a Wilson Combat NULA. Less than 5 pounds bare. Various calibers available.
I have another just like this I can sell right now. They are fun rifles, and tune up nicely.mines in 22 arc but i went with a howa mini action, a prefered barrel from @hereinaz and a blem carbon barrel from stockys. All in under a grand. Topped it with a VX2 ultralight and im right at 6 lbs. 6 lb 4 oz with a full mag and the scope cover. Could get under 6 with some fluting and a replacement bottom metal. Thing is a hammer and has rapidly become my favorite rifle

I am 52 and where I hunt in northern AZ is high elevation. When I am scouting deer and elk I see all kinds of coyotes and mt lions/bobcats. Sometimes if I am hiking a lot I just leave my rifle in the truck to drop weight. I would love a small handy rifle I can take anywhere. I shoot 7prc, so I know the light rifles have a bit more kick but in 243 or 6arc it’s very manageable. I will only use this out to 200 yards probably. When I go out to call coyotes I will use a different rifle. Why are you stuck on your weight limit? Have you shot such a lightweight rifle? Is an extra couple of pounds going to really matter?
I have looked at those online. Can’t find a new one but have seen some used ones on gunbroker. Sounds like you like the finish and quality of them.My three Kimber Montana 84M's in .223, 7mm-08 and .338 Federal weigh 5#6oz, 5#4oz and 5#2oz respectively. The larger bore diameter make for progressively lighter rifles. This is without a scope or mount. Add whatever your scope and mounts weigh...my scopes add about another 3/4# with modest variables in the 2-7X or 2.5-8X range.
Being a bowhunter I typically just use the Kimbers for predator calling or backup when packing meat in Grizzly country. But really enjoy the fit of the Kimber carbon fiber stocks, the controlled round feed action, 3-position safety and excellent trigger on the Montana.. Not sure of the availability new at this time?
amazing rifles. Trying to stay under $2000Rifles inc strata
He lists it at 5lbs
