Speed goats vs match bullets.

Because "traditional hunting bullets" make smaller wound channels, especially on something the size of a large dog like an antelope.
In addition to the external ballistics, the terminal ballistics are superior as well.

This is why I use premium hunting bullets for pronghorn.

I have always just used the load of the moment that I am getting nice groups with in either my 6.5 grendel or 7mm mag, gone hunting, and tried not to blow the shoulder up.

Traditional hunting bullets cannot be all put in that description. Some are plenty aerodynamic and fast expanding with the added plus of being designed to maintain a percentage of weight.

What is it that you're so excited about exactly? There's nothing wrong with NBTs or soft points. There's just no advantage to them vs ELD-M/TMK type bullets.

Anyone handloading match bullets for thin skin pronghorn? Not a debate. Merely a question. MTG
In general, I wouldn't recommend match bullets for any game - they make match bullets and game bullets, as such, for a reason. Having said that, I am coming up on my 24th speedgoat. Never used matched bullets, but it seems like everything goes right through them like match bullets would. There's just not that much resistance to cause much bullet expansion.

Your last sentence is actually why (select) match bullets work well on them - consistently fragmenting, heavy-for caliber, match bullets like ELD-M/TMK's expand sooner, more violently, and with less resistance than conventional cup & core hunting bullets and far less than bonded or monos. This means the max width of wound channel occurs in the vitals as opposed to just starting on the offside of the animal as it exits, which is most apparent on thin animals such as antelope.

It would be worth your time reading through the thread linked below on the use of match bullets for hunting, why some work and some don't, and some advantages over other types of bullets. I was initially intrigued but not completely convinced by strangers on the internet, so I tried it for myself last fall and was not only convinced, but impressed after seeing their terminal performance firsthand.
