Spartan Precision Springbok Tripod

Does anyone have experience with the springbok tripod? I was going to buy it on sale for Black Friday but it says that it’s not available in my area, now I’m having second thoughts. I was hoping that it would be a good option to help my wife for closer range shooting. We also have a trip to Africa next year that I thought it would be useful on.

Might work OK for shooting, but the silicone apex is likely to present challenges for glassing.

Apparently that flexible head makes it pretty bad.

He had the bipod. I’m looking specifically at the tripod.
