I’ve been a user of Spartan Precision products for a long time. I love their MagnaSwitch attachment system, and I’ve had their Gunsmith Adapters installed on multiple rifles, including my newest build. I’ve also been a user of their original Javelin Lite and Pro bipods. Both are fantastic products that made me a real believer in Spartan Precision, but even with adjustable leg height on my Pro, both are intended for prone shooting positions. Often, my hunting locations and style require the ability to shoot while seated or kneeling because of terrain and/or vegetation. Spartan Precision used to offer extension legs for the Javelin series, but they’ve since replaced that option with the SpringBok Bipod. So, I picked one up.

I've been hunting and shooting off of the SpringBok for the last several months. In short, it's certainly lived up to my expectations. It offers the perfect range of heights for my typical hunting needs, and it is lightweight, easily attached and detached, and stable.

Hi Torin...

It's Jen with Happy Antelope Limited, Spartan's Largest US Retailer. I wanted to let you know that the Springbok Bipod should have come with a small rubber tether strap that does keep the legs closed. It is typically enclosed with the Rifle Adapter. Shoot me a text and I will mail you one!

Thanks for the awesome review. The Springbok Bipod is fantastic.

If anyone has any questions about the Springbok Bipod or any Spartan Products feel free to message us or call Paul (702) 423-4901 or Jen (702) 505-7770.

Thanks so much!
Jen

Would you look at that…

I didn’t bother to open the hardware baggy since I use the gunsmith adapter and have other adapters on-hand. Of course Spartan already thought of a strap.
Like Christmas. I throw out all the little accessories.

If you can email @Justin Crossley, and show him where in the review, he can fix that

Yes...That is the included tether strap for the Springbok Bipod. I already messaged him to let him know if he needs one I will get it out to him! It is rather easy to miss as it is in the bag with the rifle adapter. Thanks for adding the photo for us! - Jen

I took one to Africa this month. Between it and the prohunt tac, I had everything covered except for one hunt on Kudu where I used quad sticks. I love the “chopsticks of death”

If I want long legs, is it cheaper to buy the Springbok than the legs separately?
Do you want long legs for the bipod, tripod, or Springbok? The Springbok head would not really work for standing up. It would be too flimsy. Additionally, the Springbok legs are not for sale as individual units at this time. - Jen

Nice job on explaining how you use the bipod, and what environments it was helpful for Torin! We're an internationally small company, so hearing criticisms is good because we're still agile enough to make updates in the future. Those are those are some sweet looking shooting irons too! I just got a couple Maven RS1.2 scope, and can't wait to try them out in the next couple weeks

I have the Pro Hunt Bipod. I was thinking of getting longer legs at some point. If I want them, the Springbok seems like a good way to get them.
