Spartan Gunsmith adaptor placement

Ordered several of the Spartan gunsmith adaptors to install on a few rifles. Goal is bipod and tripod shooting.

Spartan says to install 3 inches in front of front action screw.

Anyone have experience with other placement? Further forward?

Install 2 and then you have both covered.

I have placed them on rifles for Bipods and always go as far forward as I can. Never shot off of a tripod so never inserted them close to the action.

Yes, for bipod as far forward as possible. Location may be dictated by the width of the stock, on my factory tikka I placed it about 1/2” behind the front stud. That allowed it be secured by the interior webbing which allowed for a “stop” on the depth.
