No, absolutely zero need for an extra light. Never had one fail and even so i move through the woods in the dark a lot of times by choice anyways so more than comfortable doing it if i ever needed to.

I’ll carry an Olight to clip onto my cap in case I need brighter or a backup to the Petzl

I ended up buying a soffrin headlamp as a backup. I still prefer the zebralight as my main light, but I was already carrying an extra 18650 battery, so adding the soffrin light was only another 1.5oz or something and it was like $25. It can use the same headband and mount as the zebra.

I like the redundancy of both lights using the same battery, so no matter which component fails, I have a backup.
