Southwestern cow elk Wyoming

I put myself and my Dad in for a full priced cow tag in southwest WY (we should have the points to draw). My Dad is getting older and he has never elk hunted and we want to take my Mom. After doing some research I landed on a unit that seems fairly successful and not crazy hard for my parents to get around. I plan to make the trip there this summer to camp/scout. I was just curious to see what peoples input was for cow elk in this area of WY, this is my first time posting on a forum Thanks and good luck this application season!

To hunt elk or "Big game" there you'll need a resident or guide with you.

There is nowhere in SW WY where the op will need a guide.

In Wyoming you only need a resident of licensed guide in designated wilderness areas.
