South Dakota Mule Deer

Considering a SD mule deer hunt during late September this year. Looking at hunting Buffalo Gap Grassland and surrounding walk-in areas. However I’ve never been to SD and don’t know much about the mule deer habitat in that area. Can anyone provide any info that might be helpful.
