Make sure you have maps and an understanding of where you are. The area you are looking at is a lot of public but there are pieces of private tucked in the middle of it too. Its easy to glass something up and get moving and find yourself where you arnt supposed to be. Im very familiar with that unit. Every fence line you come across just take a second to make sure youre clear. Pick up a BLM map, it wont show the walk in but take the hour it takes to correlate the map. My map has all yellow (BLM, highlighter yellow for WIA) and I mark pink highlighter for private.

Also, you won’t find good water out there.
