My wife, daughter, and I went in July of 2024 and are going back in 2026. We hunted with Wild Game Safaris in the northern part of Limpopo. It was definitely the most fun I have ever had hunting. As someone mentioned earlier using Gracy Travel is worth the money. They have people in the airport to meet you and gather all of our gear. Their people there are very well connected with everyone in the airport and made the whole process simple. We stayed overnight at City lodge and took another flight the next morning to Polokwane where we were picked up by our PH’s. We flew Delta straight from Atlanta to Johannesburg. We had standard seats and I’m 6’ 220lbs. It was a little tight but I used the money saved to shoot more animals. I drank 3-4 beers at the airport and took some Tylenol PM’s when I got on the plane. I was able to sleep 5-6 hours so it make the flight seem shorter. I had an aisle seat and was able to get up and walk around some.
My wife didn’t hunt but loved just relaxing around the lodge and hanging by the pool. Even though it’s winter time the pool was heated. My daughter and I bow hunted while we were there and shoot 18 animals. We had a list of things that we wanted but was open to what the bush offered up. I was able to shoot a great Kudu and my daughter shot a Nyala, gemsbok, and Eland. We also shot warthogs, wildebeest, blesbok, and I shot 6 impalas. The impalas got me more excited than any other animal over there.
We also toured for 2 days and visited lots of sights including riding elephants and petting lions.
If anyone had any questions I can try my best to answer. I’ve only been once but will share what little knowledge I have.
