Any Sony users out there (particularly aps-c) using the Tamron 17-70 lens?

I have the Sony 18-135mm for my a6400, but I'm considering the tamron for better low light and indoor use. I also have the sigma 16mm, which is awesome.

The Tamron lens is terrific. Ultra sharp, terrific in low light and with the crop sensor a nice range, wide to portrait. A lot of lens for the money plus a 6 year warranty. We have sold a lot of them to local regulars. The pictures they show us are amazing

Thanks! The 18-135 is great for size and range as an all around lens, but I don't get consistently great shots with it.

I'll contact you guys this summer when I'm ready to pull the trigger!

I took this photo with the Tamron 28-75 lens zoomed to 75mm as close as the lens would focus about 6".

I wanted better pictures but I also wanted my hands more that 10" away once I pulled the snake out from under the log so I went back to the Polaris and switched to the Tamron 150-500. These pictures were taken at around 200mm, 3-4' away.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet but have had great recommendations for the lens from multiple photographers who shoot for their paychecks.

I've always been happy with Tamron lenses, all the way back to the old Adaptall system (remember that?) on film bodies. They have always presented an excellent value, and typically are very well built. I used a 200-500 for a few years, then snagged a new 150-600 G1 as soon as it was available and used it with great success for about 5 years. Then I got the G2 and wasn't as happy with it, believe it or not. I am using Nikon gear now (their 500 PF lens hooked me) but all the time I go back to the shots I took with that 1st gen. 150-600 and think wow, what a lens that was.
