Thanks! The 18-135 is great for size and range as an all around lens, but I don't get consistently great shots with it.The Tamron lens is terrific. Ultra sharp, terrific in low light and with the crop sensor a nice range, wide to portrait. A lot of lens for the money plus a 6 year warranty. We have sold a lot of them to local regulars. The pictures they show us are amazing
Sounds like my kind of lens - I like to bang them around! Nice setup and pic, too.I bought the full frame version a few weeks back and i am really enjoying it, enough so that I have the new 150-500 pre ordered. It is durable, mine has hit the ground a couple of times with no ill effect.

Nice! Let us know how it works. I've seen some good reviews and pics.
Absolutely beautiful copperhead. Great shots!!I took this photo with the Tamron 28-75 lens zoomed to 75mm as close as the lens would focus about 6".

I wanted better pictures but I also wanted my hands more that 10" away once I pulled the snake out from under the log so I went back to the Polaris and switched to the Tamron 150-500. These pictures were taken at around 200mm, 3-4' away.

Nice! 150-500?
Nice shot! I've got the same lens. Paired with an APS-C camera it gives me the 35mm equivalent of 225-750mm with fantastic image quality. I've also used it for some wildlife videography and it is just a perfect set up.
