I have bee n going to Colorado, Utah & New Mexico for several seasons now, doing pack in hunts for Elk & Mule deer. I have two pair of Solomon XA Pro 3D Ultra's and they have held up great and I love the Quick lacing system they have. The only issue I have had is they are not quite tall enough for crossing boggy areas etc even with Gaiters on. So I'm considering getting a boot that is a little taller and maybe more of a hiking boot type build. Anyway, I see everyone here has an opinion as to what boot they like for doing these type of hunts and I would like to hear what you like in a boot. I only archery hunt so 90% of my time in the Back Country is in bow season with very little snow or low temps. Thanks for any info on what you like in a boot. Thanks
