Solo Hunter Rifle Cover?

Anyone familiar with this rifle cover system and have thoughts on it?

8oz sounds too heavy to "ultralight"

I'm in the process of making something similar out of silnylon. But its only a cover for packing in on horse or strapped to a backpack.
