Do you use black diamond trekking poles? You can remove the Lowest section from one pole and put the tip inside the opening and clamp down it'll work all the way up to a cimarron +/- 6ft tipi.

Thats how I ran mine last season

Other brands might work but they have to be flick-lock. my Easton pole wouldn't do it but both black diamond pole do well

Good call! Thanks. I had been borrowing a buddy’s black diamonds and used to combine them to nearly any height. Got sissy stix on a good deal but their Little Rock guard at the end has threading and keeps them from being combined. Trying to figure out the best solution. The pvc may be a way to go.

Technically they reach up to sawtooth/redcliff height but it's really wobbly and unstable. It'll work well with a cimarron or smaller though.

Plus you get a 22" pole left over to vector out the back guy out point

Next to dedicated LBO pole. The skinniest section is completely collapsed and the thicker section is extended on both poles. Other brands might work besides BD but my Easton did not, the tip shaft was too short

Or you can cut a shaft from a shitty aluminum pole and use it as an extendor to a single pole... probably what I'll do this year so I can leave the tent up and I still have one pole for day hunting
