For those of you who have used these tents, is the zipperless function actually useful? What are the pros and cons? Can this system be implemented on other tent styles?

Yes they work. Pros are they are minus the weight of the zipper and they are that much simpler/less week points to fail. Cons are in my experience if you are trying to keep a really tight pitch fighting high winds the lineloc tensioners seam to slip just a bit over time. Not really that big of a deal but it does happen. I absolutely think they are worth it if you are looking for simple and as light weight as possible.

Is it a reach to get to the lineloc from the inside? Or do you just get used to the operation after a while?
Do you think it could be adapted to a pyramid style tent on a corner? Or does the geometry of the silex and guardian make it work.

Yes. Just buy one on the classifeds at $200nd resell if you move on. I have the Silex works amazing. The Zipperlesss doors are the same tech, tech Seek owns. If you intend to try to copy this design please do not ask others to help do that. If you are asking about the merit /performance answer is great. Silex is right around 200 new. Good luck.

The geometry matters, you would not get it open fully on a pyramid is my suspicion, but if willing to duck it would probably work ok.

I really like my Silex. I sold my Silvertip after getting it and wouldn't go back. In part because it is zipperless, but it also makes better use of space with a smaller footprint. Functionally with 1 person and no stove it feels only slightly smaller than a Silvertip with only one person and no stove.

I have the older Seek Eolus with nest. Love it for solo stuff. Zipperless doors are no trouble for me. I can't quite reach it while laying in my bag but I'll get up, get boots on with my feet in the vestibule, lean forward a little and raise the door. Pitch does matter a bit, if you are too tight the zipperless door obviously won't come all the way up. I've honestly never found it to be an annoyance though. Get one ans try it out. I doubt you'll be disappointed. If it's not for you, it'll be easy to sell here.

Like everyone said, no issue with the zipperless design. I think it's easier than a zipper. Less effected by dirt/grime/ice.

I’m on the other side of things. I had a guardian and just didn’t really like it. Part of that was the zipper less doors. It seemed to me that you had to be a little more picky with the pitch to get it to work just right. Another thing, because the tent was so short, I’d always brush the door as it was bunched up at the top when I’d get in/out. This turned out to be an annoyance when things were wet because that bunching at the top would hold a bunch of water so when I’d brush up against it I’d get all wet.

Like others have mentioned they do have some big pros so that may outweigh the cons for you. I just didn’t love them.
