I am considering buying a SO Redcliff but wanted to see what version you guys are using? I am deciding between the regular Redcliff and the light version. With 2-3 guys in it and a stove, not sure how often I would use two doors vs one. The stove jack also seems to be more centered in the light version.

Any thoughts or specific experience between these two? Thanks.

I like 2 doors Great for drying condensation if there’s a little breeze. Also don’t have to crawl over your buddy to get out when nature calls

I have a Cimarron with one door and a Redcliff with two. While I use the second doot occasionally I don't see a significant disadvantage to having only one

I had the regular Redcliff and now have the light version which I like much better. The stove jack on the regular version is 90deg the being inline of the doors, so I thought it put the stove slightly in the way of a sleeper on that side. The light version has the stove opposite the door. I had set up the regular one with the line locs on all points and never used the loops, the light comes with the line locs. I never used the second door on the regular, but always felt an urge to leave it accessible because it was there, so by my own choice, my usable floor space was limited.

That was my concern. Having to set up sleeping, stove, wood etc., around two doors and limiting internal space. I see the benefits of two doors but like everything else there are trade offs. I think I am going to go with the light version. Thanks.

I always pitch my redcliff with the best ingress and egress in mind. We end up only using 1 door 100 percent of the time. Now in the little silvertip...... 2 doors is much appreciated.

Do you have a picture with the stove in use?

I have their 8 man tipi and I would love to only have 1 door, so I would lean in that direction. I realize I have more space, but as mentioned the orientation of the stove would be better placed opposite of the single door. It would also make divvying up space for sleepers better I think.

I have a redcliff with 2 doors. Second door can be handy for dumping in wood, air circulation, or venting a cook space w/o blocking the main door.

That said, I'd be perfectly happy without that second door, to the point where I'm considering the cimarron light over the regular cimarron.

I bought a Redcliffe when it first came out and have yet to use more than one door at any time.

Looking at getting a Redcliff, but trying to decide on which version without ever actually seeing one. So Question for the guys that have had both, or been around both. Which option gives you the most room between sleeping bags and the stove or three adults? From pics, and videos i have found online, and my hand drawn sketches to scale it looks to me like the Redcliff with the stove off center provides the most distance between stove and sleeping bags. Two on the side with the roof vent and one on the side with the stove. I understand it may take up some living space but also don't want to burn ourselves or our sleeping bags. Anyone have any thoughts, or pictures of their sleeping layout. Thanks
