So I need some info regarding Kenetrek mountain extreme's

I checked their site but am still unclear.
So they come in insul and uninsul.
Some have a really rough finish and others are a regular leather exterior or am I missing something?
The rhino rough exterior one's. What is the benefit and or downside to them. Thanks.

Never heard of rhino rough exterior. All of them that I have seen including my pair are the same. Not a completely smooth leather, but not suede, either.

I think these are referred to as mountain extreme guides or something. The exterior in very hard and rough. Stiff as all get out. Wondering what the advantage or purpose is?
