I have a cimarron and a silex. A buddy just picked a Guardian. I really like all three but they all have their place. What's your plan for the shelter? I run my cimarron when someone goes with me late season. Archery elk with camp on my back I prefer the smaller shelter. If you plan to run a stove with more than just you get the Cimarron. Solo I would say Guardian.

I picked up a Guardian with a stove jack as I have a few friends with tipi tents (Slumberjack and Luxe). I set it up to seam seal it and have not spent any time in the field with it yet.

My initial impressions are that you could fit two people comfortably with gear in it but no stove. Each person would have easy access to their gear and could exit their side of the tent.. Adding a stove would knock out one of the sides. as it would be relegated to stove and firewood storage. You could still fit both backpacks on the non-stove side, but it'd start to get tight if someone needed to exit the tent.

I'm looking at using the Guardian if we're going to be mobile. The smaller size and lighter weight make moving around and setting up camp much easier and more flexible. If we're going to be setting up camp for a few days, I'd take the weight penalty of the tipi tent for the added headroom and space.
