Small rifle primer in AR?

Got a couple thousand small rifle primers for cheap in a lot of powder. I normally use cci 450s for my AR loads due to the heavier cup, anyone ever have issues using regular small rifle primers? I’ve heard of potential slam fires or piercing of primer cups in the past. This will strictly be plinking with light loads, will stick with the 450s for higher pressure loads.

I’ve gone through a couple bricks of regular small rifle in ARs with no problems. Have never see or heard of a slam fire though I suppose the potential is there.

I use CCI and S&B in my ARs. Be sure you're feeding from the mag and not slamming the action on a round in the chamber and that'll resolve a lot.
