sometimes i don't have my bulb air blower on me, and i hardly ever get spit on my optics if i blow quickly. was out glassing and saw something kind of big on the objective lens on my binoculars. blew on it quick, spit everywhere. got back inside and used the bulb to get everything off, then used my microfiber lens cloth to clean everything. now i see very fine microfiber cloth scratches on the objective lens. not like a key scratch or anything like using a blade kind of scratch. just very fine cloth scratches. will this affect quality of the glass - say contrast and in low light sun glare situations? again, i'm talking very very fine cloth scratches. you can see the swirl, so not a single scratch from i.e. rubbing a cloth with a piece of sand that was still on the lens or anything like that. it's on good glass too, i have a bx-5 santiam.

You won’t see any effect in practical terms.

I always use lots of alcohol or water to flush, and a new portion of cleaning cloth each wipe.

ok, i was hoping it wouldn't affect glare when the sun is low. they may not be swaro's, but they are super good when looking directly under the sun when it's low or to the left and right.
