Unreal, I haven’t seen any deer (coues or mule), quail, or javalina. It’s a ghost town here without water. If I don’t locate anything by 10:00, I’m gonna head back to base camp and go over maps. I’ve got to find water. Just when you think you have everything figured out over years in an area, the desert throws a curve ball on me hahaha.

The desert is awesome. It's all about adjusting to the circumstances. Follow those cattle.

Ive been watching those 4 cows below my camp since yesterday hoping they would lead to water but they are still in the same place and haven’t moved . I think they’re lost

I moved up the ridge to head over the top of the basin because there is supposed to be a spring on the backside. As I’m hiking up I see 2 coues does feed around backside onto north face. Same direction that buck that I bumped went. I’m getting closer to finding these little bastards!
