i ended up sleeping one night in my nemo forte 20 bag in 32 degrees and woke up shivering and couldn’t believe it, wore 2 merino wool shirts with under armor heat gear tights and a pair of kuiu attack pants with a pair of the kuiu merino wool socks and my kuiu puffy jacket stuffed down by my feet, Anyone else have this issue? also what cold weather bags you guys running?

I just picked up a WM versalite at REI, they are currently $576 shipped if your’re a member. They also have Kodak’s for $680. I went back and forth but the versalite is quite a bit lighter and packs a lot smaller, in the end I think it will be a more versatile bag for me.

I use and recommend the SH chillkoot 15. Used in temps from 40f- 10f in baselayers. Above freezing I typically have it unzipped. I think I could easily go to 0f with a few more layers on. My 2c

I made the jump from Nemo to WM and couldn’t be happier. Had it down to 14 degrees with sleet and snow this season and was cozy.

If you want a bag to work as a stand alone without a pad, SG chillkoot.

If you want your back to attach to your sleeping pad so you don't slide off a dozen times in the night, big agnes anvil horn.

Which is currently on sale:
