I don't have any real world performance data with it yet. It is a bit narrow in the shoulders and small for use with a sleeping bag, but I think it will fit OK with just my woobie. My hunting partner is going to add a triangle of fabric adjacent to the zipper to widen it out just a bit. For me it is an upgrade from an all nylon sleeping bag cover I used to use just to sleep in with my extra clothes.

I actually used the SOL bivy this fall as my primary bivy and in my opinion it performed well for what it is. I am wide through the shoulders so I had to split the bivy in half down the middle and add a piece of space blanket to add some room, but after that I had plenty of room to fit with my kelty cosmic down 20 deg bag. Did the job of keeping my bag clean and is an affordable way to add a few degrees to your system. Biggest complaint is that it is still pretty restrictive in the foot box.

I would consider myself a hot sleeper, but I stayed warm only using an un-insulated BA air pad, thermarest foam pad, and my 20 deg bag. Would I recommend this as a first choice? no way, but being on a tight budget last year it did the trick and for not a whole lot of money.
