My kids getting to the age to get his first sledding in...looking for some ideas or comfy ways you guys have found to set one up to drag and then remove some straps when he's ready for some downhill, he's almost 2, I was gonna just pick up a sled from Walmart or something, but open to suggestions on that too.

It's more expensive than most sleds, but it's also built well and can be dragged efficiently (within reason) across snowy flats with your kids inside on the way to and from the hill.

You can also achieve full Clark Griswold with this deal.

Is the bottom of that pretty sturdy? He's not big enough to lay on top yet...just don't wanna put accidentaly put neighborhood curb through his rear end if he's sitting down on the floor getting towed along. It says semi-rigid polyurethane, so assuming that would afford enough protection?

A small otter sled with a couple blankets or padding under their butt is our go to...We drag our kids (oldest 2yrs 9month and a 9month old) around in a small otter sled all the time. Nice sides on it so they don't flop out the sides and can prop themselves up on the back. We also take them down hill sledding in it. works great.

The bottom is pretty sturdy, yes. I use it for all of my kids (youngest is 2 and change). Did I mention that it's fun for mom and dad, too?

Yeah I pull my cousins all the time on them black Toboggans behind 4-wheelers. They’ve hold up pretty dang good and one of my hunting buddies uses one on most the late season hunts he goes on. He says he can load up a real nice load of meat and it’s easier then picking. Could use it for ice fishing too

Snagged an otter pro small, theu had that an the Pelican in stock locally Pelican was a little narrow to comfortably fit me and the kiddo for some downhill runs.

The small sizes shakedown posted are pretty perfect for dragging the kiddo, the wife's pack and some dog treats/water along on some treks.

Thanks for the suggestions folks
