Slection Help- Ods and ends

Well I have a few items I think I need on my list and looking for suggestions.

Bivy- don't know much about them would lie a nice light one that breathes and will keep my down bag dry. seen a few posts on borahs?

Gaitors- kinda had it narrowed down to crocs or kuiu.

Crocs and don't look back. They are one of those solid pieces of gear that never let down and are hard to improve upon.

If you are interested in a slightly shorter gator I really like the OR Flex Tex Gators. They are really nice with the stretchy durable material.

Where are you hunting? What terrain? What time of year? I can get away with light weight gaitors where and when I am hunting.

I have a borah bivy, used it on a 5 day scouting trip last week and am not overly impressed. I think durability will be an issue down the road. When you consider cost, weight and not charging Rokslide members for modifications I dont think there is a comparison.

I'm really liking my Tigoat Bivy. Have only used it a few times so I don't know how durable it is yet but so far it has worked great.

I really like my Ti Goat bivy as well have used it for about 3 years when not going with my with in the field and it has performed great.

For gaiters OR makes some great options both the Croc (if you want bomber) and the Versaglis (sp?) (if you want a bit lighter) are great options.

+1 on the TiGoat Bivy. I prefer the bivy with side zips, rather than just the chest zips. the OR Crocs have always done me right as well!

the gaiters will be used for anything and everything i have a montana elk hunt this fall where tall grass with dew and rain i would liek to stop and back at home hunting in the winter something to keep the snow out of my boots.

So are you saying its not that great but given the weight and price points its worth the investment?
