I caved and ordered a 12x50 from Astronomics. Excited to put it through the paces,

Initial impressions of the 12x50 are very favorable. Love the wide FOV and they feel solid. Looking forward to testing them over the next few weeks. I will report back, but impressed so far.

Glassing for some bears this morning. 8x42s are amazing. Never used swaros, but side by side with UHD 8x42s they clarity is close enough I can’t tell the difference and FOV is noticeably better.

I purchased mine from Astronomics. Shipping was immediate (received the same week, shipped to CA). The eyecups definitely seem like an issue to me as I just don't feel like they are fitting to my face well. I reached out to Sky Rover directly for the 44mm eyecups and they instructed me to go through Astronomics. I hit up Astronomics and a set of 44mm eyecups are on their way to me FREE!! Great experience and customer service so far.

I read somewhere that you can buy additional warranty on the SRBC , has anyone else heard of that ? If so what does it cost ?

I have not yet. Snagged a mini razor today to replace my larger kowa. Im just a bino and verify with a spotter kind of guy. I think im gonna save for the 14 NL pures...

I saw this post the other day, i checked the Sightron website, these Sightron SV have the same FOV , about the same weight, longer eye relief. Sightron claims this as their flagship. Being produced in Japan. With a lifetime warranty. For $899 . Because of the warranty im going with them. The only obvious difference i could visually see is different lugs for the binocular strap. The Sightron warranty doesnt include accidental damage. If Mavin or Sig had and 8x45. Id go with them. Ive never damaged a set of binoculars before , but there could be a first time. On the SRBC 8X42 binoculars, im sure if a person didnt have any issues before the warranty ran out , i doubt you would ever have a problem with them . So , i quess im still contemplating them. Cant beat the price for that kind of performance.

By the way Zerotech Trace 8x45 is an AK prism binocular, i called a week ago to see how they compare to the Vortex Razor UHD 8X42. After not hearing from them , i emailed them again, still no response. So my guess is they wont respond when trying to make a purchase, forget about there unconditional lifetime warranty. Zerotech must not need my business.

Meh. Any issues will likely show up before 3 years like you said. I don’t seem to have many issues breaking optics, and if I do happen to, I’m $350 closer to buying another set for what I saved.

15x56 so far are really, really good.

Need to do a long day on tripod to pass the final test but so far I'm pretty blown away.

I've got ELs, SFs, Meostars, etc in the rotation and these give up nothing.

My ONLY complaint is that the eye cups are a harder plastic versus supple rubber, and they feel cheap despite functioning fine.

The barrel geometry allows use of an Outdoorsman stud for those of us with super tight IPD, which Meostar 15x56 did not. That in itself is a huge win, but the FOV...

Plan was to snag the 14x52 NLs, but no desire to anymore.

Astronomics is the place to buy from, avoid Alibaba and Ebay like the plague, I spoke directly to Sky Rover and there are no authorized dealers on those sites currently, they told me to proceed with caution
