Wanted to post a quick review on these. I found them on the bird forums and decided to give them a try. They are Chinese and I’m not sure what glass they’re using, but it’s better than any Japanese glass I’ve ever seen.
For context, I currently own Tangent Theta, S&B, NF, Kahles, Swarovski, Gen 2 Razor, and many other high end rifle scopes. I also owned a pair of ELs and currently own Zeiss, Meopta, Vortex Razor UHD, and other binoculars. I also own the BTX 115 and 85. Hopefully that is useful context on my experience with top tier optics.
I compared these binoculars head to head with the Razor UHD 10x50s for hours glassing at distances up to 2 miles in northern Nevada, and found them to be optically superior, or more pleasing, to my eyes. Zero CA where as the Razors had some. Better sharpness, better overall IQ. Wider FOV, very fast focus, and the field flattening was wonderful with great edge to edge sharpness. Very wide ocular area and nice multi position eye cups.
I can’t think of a better value proposition, a $500 bino that competes with $2000 optics. Yes, the warranty will likely not compete with Vortex, and the durability is yet to be proven, but the optical quality is extremely impressive. I liked them so much I just bought their 12x50s to try out. Durability wise I have read other reviews online where testers submerged them and put them in the freezer and they functioned just fine. I’ll post updates here if I ever encounter any issues in the future.
Feel free to ask questions and I’ll chime in when I can. Thanks!
