Skull hooker?

Using the skull hooker big hooker to hang up my elk head and I’m torn on which size prong to use. The smaller prong cradles the knuckles at the base of the skull really well but the center prong doesn’t contact anything. The large prong seems to sit the head 100% on the center prong and the outer prongs reach the rear jaw bones for stability. Is it supposed to be 3 points of contact or is the small prong the right one and it’s intended to just cradle those knuckles?

I use whichever seems to fit better, usually the large. I do epoxy the prong to the skull if I am going to hang it on the wall. The Table Hookers, I don't bother with the epoxy.

I've used the small and large for elk heads. You're right, neither sizes give a seemingly "perfect" fit with connections, but I haven't had issues with either. Basically determine the angle you want and then decide which size feels more secure.

I do like spike camp suggests. Having a euro hit the floor sucks and they are super easy to bump. I have the large hooker and use a couple large rubber twist ties though the ear sockets and back out around the hooker to keep it in place. I’ve also used tie wire in the past. Tie wire is less visible but I didn’t have any at the office and I can’t see the twist tie from my desk.

I went to these 100% and got rid of all my hookers. I like the skull flat against the wall. Could probably do it with a few zip ties and some hardware, but I like the clean look of it and they are just a few dollars.

I also prefer the skull right in the wall, the dead on display is awesome for this. If putting a skull in a corner the hooker is the only way to go.
