Just sent and entire box of Skre gear back.

Of the 5 garments I purchased none had onsistent sizing some too wildly too big, some too small, all has a weird ill fiting cut.

This is unfortunately because the materials seemed well made and decently priced.

I'm getting fed up with "hunting brands" making some of the most awkward cut gear and not consistent with more common brand sizing.

Here's a quick rundown.

5'10 350lbs 74"wind span. Think powerlifter build, a bunch of muscle and a bunch of fat. I still ruck and do sled work I just don't run.

I wear Columbia, under armour, Carhartt, North face in 4xl tops, 3xl bottoms. In first light a wear 3xl tops and 2xl bottoms for base layers.

Torrid Hoody 4x:
Still not sure why I try these hot weather mesh/birdseye cloth. The polyester feel atrocious next to skin and has no stretch. I keep hoping someone will make a UA heat gear style shirt that works for hot weather. Sleeves too tight and short and neck was small and garment fell right at the belt line. Fit like a 3xl but still smaller than my first light 3xl wick Hoody.

Kaibab 300 merino Hoody 4xl:
The wool felt good and had good stretch with 5% spandex. The shirt was wildly over sized extending well past my butt to my hamstring and the sleeves were loose and baggy and about 6" too long. Hood and neck fit ok. If I hemed the sleeves and length it probably would have stayed. I liked the deep zip neck.

Nebo rain jacket 4xl.

Traditionally rain gear should be cut the loosest to accommodate layering. In this spread the Nebo was cut well under sized and tighter than the hardscarbble. I could tell it wasnt going to fit after putting one arm in the sleeve hole. The shoulder to shoulder dimensions were too small and the sleeve holes were very narrow and high into the armpit. I was only able to close the zipper with a wick 150 base layer and still the garment felt I'll fiting and bunched at the shoulders. On the up side the material felt nice and fell between a dedication hard shell and an ultra light rain jacket feel. I like a good stretch in a rain jacket and this has it. Fit like a 3xl.

Nebo rain pants 4xl:

LMAO. Nothing good can say about sizing. I could only get the pants about 2" above my knees. They hit the thick part of my quads and that was it. Usually I can get even slim fit pants embarrassingly up to my butt and just not be able to button/zip closed. This wasn't even close. Fit like a 2xl same material as the jacket seems quality and I would have enjoyed the full zip off legs if not for the fit.

Hard Scrabble jacket 4XL:

This was the closest garmet I could say fit true to size. I have a north face soft shell in 3XL a can make work but is a little tight in the chest and a 4XL Columbia ascender soft shell that is cut loose enough to cover all my layers and id say this fell in between the two garments. The pit zips, mesh vent in the hand pockets and the materials were all nice. I was very close to keeping it. I could have layered a 300 FL Furnace quarter zip under it but not a down puffy. The high and tight armpit holes ultimately kept me from keeping it. Sleeves were the right length just felt tight in the bicep/delt area.

I've had this armpit hole/tight sleeve issue with KUiU, kryptek and first light jackets. It's a common issue I run across in Hunting brands.

The issue is us 3xl and 4xl men have made it to that size and still hunt and hike and get outside which means we probably lift and do some form of non running cardio like sled work or rucking.

I wish one hunting company would acount for this and consider shoulder mass and lat mass in the extended sizes. If it were not for my shoulders id be wearing mostly 3XL. Unfortunate my experience with Skre is their 4XL items are mostly undersized and for more like a 3XL

Just my experience. Hopes this helps someone make a more educated purchasing decision.
