NOT quiet. They are like most other puffy pants. If they rub together, they make a decent amount of noise. I still run them late season in a tree saddle in Wisconsin, because I know I can maneuver for a shot without making enough noise to blow anything in the area out.

The guardian is definitely not a sitka fanatic (silent). It has a crinkle, but it helps to wash the jacket when you get it. Not going to lie though, I won't wear it when there is no wind in the forecast. If it's going to be a windy sit, I've got it on. The jacket is windproof, so it just makes sense. Rifle hunting, I'd have it on either way.

Did u buy the guardian and have a comparison?
Yes I bought the Guardian. I have not had a chance to hunt in it but have worn it in 10 - 20 degree weather four times, about an hour each time.

It is warm and lightweight. Definitely warmer and lighter than the Fanatic, Incinerator and Sanctuary. The jacket paired with the Guardian bibs would be the ticket in cold weather stand hunting but you are not going to walk far with both on without overheating.

I am 5’11”, 44” chest and bought the XL. It fit fine with some room to layer. I liked the pockets layout and the zipper was large and worked well in cold weather. The interior pocket is great to store your phone in to keep the cold from killing the battery. The camo pattern looks better in person than on the website.

The exterior was quieter and more flexible than I thought it would be in the cold. It is not Fanatic quiet but I think you could bow hunt with it unless it was a dead calm day. Gun hunting would be no problem at all. Also the exterior seems tough enough to handle some brush busting without worrying about it getting torn up.

Just a very high quality cold weather jacket at a reasonable price. If you get it on sale it is a steal.

How is the guardian jacket sized compared to the hardscrabble? I needed an XXL in the HS and found it to be a more athletic fit. I know they exchange for sizing for free, would just like to avoid the hassle.

Sorry I do not have the Hardscrabble.

Really impressed with the guardian jacket and bibs. XL is perfect fit (had to get xxl in the hardscrabble jacket, but think it was an older model and they adjusted the sizing a bit now)
6’4” 230

Cold weather won’t be here till late season muzzleloader in PA (after Christmas), will report then on performance. Seems like it is going to be a great cold weather upgrade for me

Bringing this thread back up. I have two questions for those that have used these. I’m mostly asking about the bibs as I’m pretty well covered on jackets:
1. Are these decently packable? I know they won’t be like a Ptarmigan, but would think that having down insulation would make them much more packable than a synthetic bib. I don’t like wearing my outer layers walking in so everything goes in my Exo 3500.

2. Do your knees get cold? Every other bib or pant I’ve tried isn’t cut right on the knees for sitting. The outer fabric basically pulls tight and compressed all the insulation so my knees get cold quick unless I also pack a blanket.

@GunsAreFun here's some pictures of my Guardian 2x bottoms next to a Ptarmigan 2x

The Guardian Bib has very little insulation in the shin area so it can be easy tucked into a tall rubber hunting boot or layered over a more traditional leather hunting boot. I find they fit pretty natural when sitting.

Thank you for the picture. That packs down really well for what they are.

I haven’t worn the bibs yet in the field, nor tried to pack them yet. The XL jacket was very impressive, was a cold damp 28 degree sit for about 7 hours. Torso was very comfortable, probably should have worn the bibs as well, went with the Sitka Stratus instead, legs were a little chilly. Jacket packed well into the smaller MR treehouse pack. I’m very happy with all the skre gear that I’ve purchased.

Join their VIP program and you get 20% off
SAVE20.
Just used on 300g Marino bottoms
For Canadians where the Sav20 generic coupon doesn't work, I signed up for their emails and received a 20% off coupon (only good for 7 days after signup) and was able to stack the code on top of their Black Friday discounts.

Makes for a great deal on the jacket and bibs right now at about 36% off total price.
