SKB bow case smells terrible

Has anyone had luck getting the plastic/glue smell out of an SKB bow case. I have tried everything. Baking soda box in the case, left it out in the sun for like a week, sprayed ozium, it still smells like some awful polymer product. I fear for my cojones, whatever endocrine disrupting product they decided to use in the manufacture process. Have called them several times, they do not answer calls or handle voicemails.

Worse than that, now my bow smells like it too. Would be a great way to blow a stalk, my gear smelling like melted plastic.

In case anyone was considering it. You'd probably be better off letting your bow bang around in the back of the truck. It's that bad.

I’m on my second or third skb and never noticed any smell, at least not to that level. Which model do you have?

SKB I-series bow case with the rounded ends. Was $300 new I wish I was exaggerating but it is persistent and difficult to ignore.

may be worth trying some charcoal odor eliminator/absorber bags. can pick them up at amazon or home depot. put a few in there and lock it up for some time.

What about spraying with some Dead Down Wind scent eliminator spray (or similar)? It's supposed to work at the molecular level, eliminating the scent molecules. Spray it well then leave it out in the sun, or in your garage with a fan blowing on it. Several applications over time might do it.
