I searched past threads and couldn't find much on this specific circumstance. I don't redline my brass, and I'm hoping to make my investment last the life of the barrel by annealing every 3rd firing, if it's worth it.
I have a Burstfire flame annealer, I've only used it once or twice to try and anneal crappy brass. After annealing, the brass feels very sticky during the sizing operation, and takes quite a bit more force. Definitely not the buttery smooth feel I get with fired brass and lanolin/alcohol lube.
Assuming it's just the surface oxidation, and tumbling after annealing would fix the issue. But curious if anyone else has experienced this, and if tumbling will actually work, before I try it?
