Anyone know of a 17 wading boot? I wear a 16 normally but need to size up to get over the booty. When I customer ordered the waders I thought I’d just get a pair of cheap hikers but none of the toe boxes are big enough. Any ideas from people that have ran into this?

Can't say I have ever seen a 17, but probably never looked. I wear my standard size, they are typically made to fit over the stocking foot in your size, but in that size who knows?

Appreciate the response. I’ll check on that cause I have found size 16 wading boots. So if that’s true I may be ok. I just thought I’d have to size up alittle.( I’m new to bootie waders)

All joking aside…have you thought about contacting the company that makes the Sitka waders? Those boots come off and are replaceable, they may be able to come up with a huge size like that. And seriously, I’d look for old Chuck Taylor’s or got to some lower level college basketball games and talk with the trainers and try to get some used up sneakers for stocking foot waders. You can always screw in some carbide cleats.

Simms makes the Freestone in size 16 and the sizing takes into account the wader booty. These are a great boot. Also boots tend to stretch out a tad when wet, plus I feel like the wader booty size tends to shrink a little bit after you wear the wader a few times.

I ordered a pair today. I hadn’t tried them yet cause I was under the impression that I would need to size up. I hope you’re right 🤞.

My son wears a 16 in some 17 in others depending on the company. I've had a heck of a time with footwear for him. The only company that makes a wrestling shoe big enough is Adidas. I bought him these same boot for fishing and they've worked for him. For hunting boots, I've worked with Lathrop and Son's and that was a great experience. Europtic sells a muck boot type in size 17 when you need a boot for that sort of thing.

👍you was correct sir thanks a bunch. The 16 simms worked! They are a touch short but way better than anything else I’ve found. Last time I went moose hunting with lacrosse trapline hippys. I’m really looking forward to being more comfortable this time!!
