Six weeks in a wall tent - alone

Any of you old guys ever do a long term camping trip solo? I'm hoping I get some company for a bit here and there, but plan to do this high desert trapping trip out in Idaho this fall. Two years ago I spent 28 days in October camping.. This year It will be Nov into Dec and quite a bit colder weather. Not gonna cost me anything if i tap out and quit early, but intend to work the entire 6 weeks so I hit two dark of the moon phases and hopefully maximize my catch.

get a starlink mini, solar charger and a battery and do an Alone version for us Roksliders. Post a few times a week for us to follow.

Wish I had the time to do that. I really enjoy my solo time in the woods! 90% of my trips are solo

Did a month a couple years ago while mule deer hunting, there was cell service where I was camped which really helped. Bought a starlink mini and power station for this season, I’m using it right now while scouting.

lol. I probably won’t buy a star link but will hit cell service while running the line. I’ll try and do an update or two.

I haven't done 2 months at a time but have done 4 months of 10 days on and 4 days off between 1974 and 2012 . By myself and moving camp every day to every other day. 24 years in Montana and the previous years in the western 6 states.

The best years I had my dog with me.

I love your plan. Teamwhitebelly had a great idea - but one way or another, keep us posted! I plan to retire next year and need to do a trip like that!
