Anybody have any more information on the new timberline pants from Sitka? The website has nothing. Looks to have some significant changes from the previous pants.

From what I can tell it’s just a goretex seat and lower pant leg. Everything else seems to be like the old pant.

Looks like an attempt to replicate the KUIU Talus pant...

Which is super disappointing because I think I can speak for most of us when I say all we really wanted was a Timberline pant with hip zips added. I don't need waterproofing where my gaiters will already be sitting OR some goofy internal gaiter design.

Guess I will be having a tailor drop some hip zips in my old Timberlines or just going with Attacks for my later season stuff.

I agree. Hip zips on the original would have been amazing. Would like to see a set of them in person to see what the idea was behind the lower leg changes.

I have been wondering about them as well, headed to Ak next year on a float caribou hunt. Looking for a good rugged pant…. Taking gaiters with me and the built in seems redundant and probably not as good as a set of peak or the likes?

After owning a few pairs of attack pants, I won't buy anything without hip zips for a more active type hunting role.

That’s good to know! I’m not brand snob by any means I just have a pro account with Sitka so I typically get gear a little cheaper. Will definitely look into the attack pants, they are kuiu correct?

Im told that they will be adding hip vents to the standard Timberline pant.... but not till next year.
Of course not, why improve something that people love at the same time you release something new. lame if they do come out with hip zip ones next year and are just sitting on them

I heard the old timberlines will be discontinued. The endure pant uses the same material as the old timberlines and has vent zips, but no waterproofing panels. Basically the old mountain pants with vents. Has anyone tried the first lite lined 308 pants? I thought about trying to kuiu guide pros but with only a 34 inseam, it doesn’t work..

The new timberlines have hip vents. The two tone pic on their website is trying to show two different colors. I think they jumped the gun putting the new stuff on the website as it also shows no stock. The new endure pant replaces the mountain pant. It also has hip vents. There is very limited stock on them.

They really like to over complicate things don't they? All people wanted was zippered vents in their pants, no need to redesign the whole pant and add features that 3% of the market might use.

Dude the attack pants are the bomb. My favorite pant of all that i own. I have a pair of pros too with the fleece lining.

If youre a 34" inseam they will be perfect for you. Im 6'2" but have a 32" inseam and they're always a couple inches too long. They should work just fine for you.
